A little coal for Christmas

After five feet of snow in December a little rain finally fell on the parade. Well, a lot of rain in fact Sunday night. However, because the snow on the ground was so light and fluffy it did a very good job of absorbing the water.

The skiing is not quite as good as it has been but still well worth while.

The Snow Detective went skiing at Sunday River on Saturday and it was the best conditions he's ever seen there. Lots and lots of snow with very little ice, and practically no people. Where is everyone? Friend Cathy Arnst from New York went to Gunstock and said it was great there too, and no people either.

I hope you all get out for some runs during the holidays. The skiing is still excellent.

Happy holidays,

Gino Del Guercio
